What I'm about.

Weifang, Beijing — but neither feels like a complete answer. Beijing is where I work; Hong Kong and Los Angeles are where my mind keeps drifting. I haven't found a city that fits all the versions of me yet.

Product Designer at Microsoft Beijing, working on Bing Image Search and AI search experiences. I led a design evolution from traditional layouts to an AI-first component system — and learned that sometimes the most impactful design decision is choosing not to redesign.

I learn by stealing. A bit from here, a bit from there, modeling whoever seems to be doing it right. I used to think that was a weakness. Now I know it's how I stay open.

In eight months I went from zero code to shipping Figma plugins, a WebGL website, and a macOS native app. This site is itself proof — built in conversation with AI. The question I care about: what happens to design when the designer can build?

I swim. I cook at a level that surprises people. I box intermittently. Music-wise: lots of Cantopop (JACE, Gareth.T, Eason Chan), K-pop (JENNIE), pop (Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, SZA), and Ryuichi Sakamoto when I need to think.
